After eight years of building AVANT through pages, screens and stories, we wanted somewhere people could come together in real life.
A PLACE TO CONNECT
AVANT Studio is the creative and physical extension of AVANT Magazine — a place where our editorial world, our archive and our community come together under one roof.
For years, AVANT existed primarily through print and digital. But the more we built our community, the more we felt the need for a physical place to meet.
Because as powerful as digital can be, human connection cannot be replaced by a screen.
So we created AVANT Studio.
Located in the heart of Paris's 11th arrondissement, AVANT Studio is a hybrid retail and cultural space dedicated to vintage and heritage clothing, craftsmanship and culture.
When there is no event taking place, the Studio is open by appointment only — allowing us to welcome collectors, enthusiasts, creatives, brands and curious visitors in a more personal way.
It is a place to discover pieces from our archive, meet other people who share the same interests, exchange ideas, browse, talk and simply spend time together.
A place to get out of the phone and into the room.
Eric Maggiori & Sarah Maggiori
AVANT Studio is run by husband and wife Eric and Sarah Maggiori, the founders
behind AVANT Magazine.
For more than 20 years, Eric has worked as a journalist, author, collector and speaker, developing a deep expertise in heritage clothing and the cultures surrounding it.
Sarah has more than 15 years of experience in digital marketing and brand strategy, having worked with major international companies including L'Oréal and Clarins.
Together, they bring two complementary perspectives to AVANT: a deep knowledge of heritage, culture and storytelling, combined with expertise in brands, digital and communication.
It is this combination that shapes AVANT Magazine, the Studio and the creative projects developed around them.

AVANT Studio is located in the 11th arrondissement, around 10 minutes from Rue de Bretagne and just a few minutes' walk from Merci, the iconic Parisian concept store and one of AVANT's stockists.
The Studio is accessible by appointment when no event is taking place.
